Website visitors

IP-addresses and information about your web browser, operating system and/or device.

Contact and voting forms

We ask you to share your e-mail addresses in order to inform you about the Award Ceremony and updates regarding the EU Cash Awards campaign. Your email will not be used for other purposes and will not be shared with third parties.

Cookies

If you vote on our site, the website will register a cookie to remember that the device has already voted. These cookies will last for one year at most.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Your personal data is stored by Climate Action Network Europe. However, they may also be disclosed to our employees or service providers only upon our request, following our instructions and excluding any other use.

How long we retain your data

For users who leave their mail addresses  on our website, we store their personal information for maximum one year following the website closure. Votes and information related to them will be retained for a period of maximum 5 years due to reporting obligations.

What rights you have over your data

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which is effective since May 2018 in Belgium, stipulates that when using your personal data, you have certain rights at any times:
